The Directorate General of Civil Aviation in India has approved the Alhind Group’s application to launch Alhind Air from Kerala’s Kozhikode, Skift reports. Read More » The travel operator will invest rupee 2.5 billion (US$24.60 million) in the airline to establish a launch fleet of three ATR-72s. Alhind Air plans to fly from Kerala to Kochi, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram and Chennai in southern India and then expand to West Asia. Alhind Air is expected to commence operations by year-end.
