Changi Airport passenger throughput up 8.1% compared with a year ago

Passenger numbers processed through Singapore Changi Airport increased to 5.7 million in July compared with 5.3 million customers travelling through its terminals a year ago. Read More » Despite the strong year-on-year growth, the July figures were 3.6% below pre-COVID July 2019 levels of 5.9 million travellers using the airport. Passenger throughput across Changi's four terminals has performed below pre-pandemic levels for the past two months and three out of the last four months. Commercial aircraft movements were 7.3% higher year-on-year, at 31,000 for the 31 days. Freight tonnage increased 16.9%, to 174,000 tonnes, against July last year, the airport group added.
