Qantas Airways mistakenly sells first class tickets well below market rates

Read More » Last week, the Australian carrier’s website was selling first class return fares to the U.S. for about A$4,500 (US$3,052), well below the five figure sums the seats normally cost. About 300 customers took advantage of the pricing error, which was posted for several hours before being taken down. The oneworld alliance member said a coding error led to the mistake. “As a gesture of goodwill, we are rebooking customers in business class at no additional cost,” Qantas said in comments provided to local media. “Customers also have the option of a full refund.”
