Boeing updates forecast for China aircraft deliveries in next two decades

Read More » “China's commercial aviation market for passengers and cargo continues to expand, driven by economic growth and airlines building their in-country networks,” Boeing vice president commercial marketing, Darren Hulst, said. “As this forecast shows, China's airlines will experience strong demand, requiring more expansion of their fuel-efficient fleets.” The 2024 CMO said updated fleet will comprise 6,720 single-aisles, (vs. 6,470 in the 2023-2042 CMO), 1,575 wide-bodies (vs. 1,550 previously), 365 regional aircraft (vs. 350 previously) and 170 freighters (vs. 190 previously). Boeing predicts China’s commercial airline in-service fleet will more than double, to 9,740 aircraft, by 2043 compared with the 4,345 airplanes flying with Mainland carriers at present.
