Japan Airlines & Mitsubishi conglomerate sign MRO and aftermarket agreements

Japan Airlines (JAL) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) have agreed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly work on aircraft MRO and aftermarket services. Read More » The partners said demand for maintenance services had increased as a result of the global recovery in aircraft demand. “JAL and MHI are exploring collaboration in this area to respond to various issues affecting the aircraft aftermarket. JAL Group, as an aircraft operator, brings expertise and experience in aircraft operations and maintenance. MHI Group, as an aircraft manufacturer, contributes its expertise and experience in aircraft design development, manufacturing, certification and MRO services, particularly in North America,” a joint statement said.
