Airlines across the region record 22.6% increase in passengers flown, industry association reports

As a result, the average international passenger load factor slipped by 0.6 percentage points, to 82.6%, for the month. From January to July this year, international passengers transported by the region’s airlines were higher by 39% at 208 million. “Despite ongoing supply chain disruptions, the outlook for travel markets remains positive as Asia-Pacific airlines continue to benefit from resilient business and leisure demand. In particular, China-based airlines are experiencing solid growth as traffic in China recovers, driving overall expansion,” AAPA director general, Subhas Menon, said.
