Koala Airlines launches website but yet to outline operating strategy

Melbourne-based Koala Airlines has unveiled its corporate logo, but has been spare in detailing how it will build a network and market share. Read More » CEO Bill Astling, a 45-year-old veteran of the industry, holds the Air Operator Certificate (AOC). It belongs to Desert Air Safaris, another Australian airline acquired in 2019 by the owners of Koala Airlines. Australia’s newest carrier plans to upgrade the AOC with a new aircraft type. No detailed information about the yet to be launched airline has been made public, but the company’s website includes 737 MAX images “Our goal is to carve out a unique niche, without disrupting existing standards, by creating a lasting impact on the industry,” Koala Airlines said.
