The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is collaborating with British Airways and Microsoft to sharpen accuracy of IATA’s CO₂ Connect for Cargo when calculating carbon emissions.
SMBC Aviation Capital has leased two A321neo to Uzbekistan Airways with deliveries scheduled for 2026. The narrow-bodies will be from the lessor’s order book with Airbus.
At this week’s MRO Asia-Pacific conference and exhibition in Singapore, HAECO and Boeing signed an agreement to cover spares and consignment parts supplied by Boeing for HAECO’s global MRO services. The new contract consolidates previous separate agreements across various Boeing and HAECO business units into one package.
Castlelake has secured commitments for more than US$1 billion in a term loan facility to support its investment and acquisition of in-demand aviation assets. Commitments for the term loan facility, designed to provide longer-term flexibility for the lessor compared with short duration warehouse facilities, was provided by Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, BNP Paribas and MUFG. Castlelake is incrementally acquiring more than 60 aircraft assets from leasing companies, airlines and other aircraft owners. The aircraft financed by the facility, or contemplated to be financed by the facility, are on lease with 30 airlines.
Dedicated turboprop lessor, Abelo, has closed a $190 million financing facility for 20 turboprops. The financing was underwritten by MUFG EMEA, Deutsche Bank AG (New York Branch) and Société Générale. MUFG EMEA and Deutsche Bank acted as co-structuring agents and all three banks participated as senior lenders. Additionally, MUFG EMEA served as the junior lender.
