Embraer selects SIA Engineering Corporation Philippines as Asia-Pacific MRO for E2 jets

Embraer has announced SIAEP, a subsidiary of SIA Engineering Company Limited (SIAEC), will be the first Embraer Authorized Service Center in the Asia-Pacific for MRO of its E-Jets E2 family. Read More » Since 2017, SIAEP, which has three hangars adjacent to Clark airport, has been an authorized Asia-Pacific service centre for the OEM’s first generation E-Jets. “With this new agreement, SIAEP becomes even more strategic for the future of our company in the region, as the E2 fleet grows,” Embraer vice president global MRO centers for Embraer services & support, Frank Stevens, said. “Growing Embraer’s services & support footprint is an important development of the company’s expansion strategy in the Asia-Pacific.” Embraer’s E-Jets, both first generation E-Jets and the E-Jets E2 are operated by airlines in Singapore, Australia, India, Myanmar, Japan and China. Scoot has ordered nine E190-E2 jets with two in commercial service since last May. The SIA budget subsidiary is the first E-Jet E2 operator in Southeast Asia. Virgin Australia has firm orders for eight E190-E2s with deliveries expected from second half 2025.
