Tokyo Narita passengers improve 11.3% in August, hit post-pandemic high

International passenger throughput was better by 19% for the month, at 2.9 million customers, but domestic traveller numbers declined 11.8% to 702,885, Narita International Airport Corporation said. Despite posting its highest monthly total in more than four years, Tokyo Narita's overall passenger numbers remained below pre-COVID-19 levels. Passenger traffic in the month was 85% of the 4.2 million domestic and international air travellers who passed through its terminals in August 2019.
