Scores of flights cancelled as Typhoon Krathon tracks towards Taiwan

Flights from Taiwan to Hong Kong, Japan and elsewhere in the region have been cancelled in response to Typhoon Krathon. Read More » Airlines including Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, EVA Airways and Greater Bay Airlines have shut down most of their services from Kaohsiung and Taipei to Bangkok, Fukuoka, Hong Kong, Seoul and elsewhere. Some flights will still operate but have been retimed. “We are monitoring the path of the typhoon closely,” Cathay Pacific said. “Further cancellations and delays to our flights to and from Taipei are possible in the next 24 to 48 hours. As soon as any more schedule change decisions are made, we will notify affected customers and arrange alternative flights.” Airlines are advising their passengers to check the latest status of their flights before heading to the airport.
