China Southern Airlines carried 13.1 million passengers in latest month

Passenger numbers flying with China Southern Airlines (CSA) rose 13.3%, to 13.7 million, in September from 12.1 million air travellers in matching 2023. Read More » The airline's monthly traffic report said international passengers increased 52%, to 1.6 million, domestic operations recorded a 9.7% increase, to 12 million passengers, and its regional schedule grew by 12.3% to 150,560 travellers. Passenger load factor was 85.5%, up 6.8 percentage points from a year earlier, and capacity increased 9.8% year-on-year. CSA added two 737 MAX 8s, an A321neo and an ARJ21 to its fleet in the month and withdrew one A330-200 and an E190 from operations. At September 30, its fleet stood at 913 aircraft.
