Regulator removes restrictions for Mainland carriers on several Canada-China routes

After almost three years, Canada has re-opened some routes from China by clearing 24 flights a week between the two countries, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) news reports. Read More » Restrictions on Air China, Beijing Capital Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Hainan Airlines Holding, Sichuan Airlines and Xiamen Airlines were lifted on October 25, the agency said. Also Air Canada will increase direct flights to China with daily service to Shanghai from December 7 and the resumption of daily Vancouver-Beijing on January 15.
