China Southern Airlines flew 16.1 million passengers in latest month

Passenger numbers at China Southern Airlines (CSA) rose 7%, to 14.7 million, in October, compared with 13.2 million customers in the matching days in 2023. Read More » CSA’s international passengers increased 55.5%, to 1.6 million, domestic operations recorded 7.3% passenger growth, to 12.9 million, and its regional network carried 3.5% more passengers (150,580) in the 31 days. Passenger load factor was 86.7%, up 5.6 percentage points from a year ago and capacity increased 8.7% year-on-year. CSA's fleet increased by seven aircraft in October, with two 737 MAX 8s, two A321neos, two ARJ21s, one A319neo and one C919 joining the airline and one A319 retired from commercial operations.
