Jetstar Airways to re-start seasonal Cairns-Newcastle in mid-2025

Australia and New Zealand-based Jetstar Airways has confirmed it will fly Cairns-Newcastle three times a week from July 2 to October 24 next year. Read More » The Qantas Group LCC said the resumption of the route was in response to previous seasonal demand. “They are the only direct flights between Cairns and Newcastle, offering customers in the south an escape to tropical weather during their winter and giving Far North Queensland residents easy access to the Hunter Valley wine region,” Jetstar executive manager for customers, Jenn Armor, said. “We thank Newcastle Airport for supporting the route allowing our customers to take off with low fares.”
