The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has published data showing the average age of the global fleet has risen to a record 14.8 years, a significant increase from the former average of 13.6 years. The backlog of new aircraft ordered has reached 17,000 planes this year, also a record high for the industry.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes CEO, Stephanie Pope, announced earlier this week that the OEM had resumed production of the 737, the 767 and the 777/777X.

Narita International Airport (NAA) has agreed with reuse business company, Market Enterprises, to reuse items generated within the airport.
