Cathay Pacific headed to Rome

Cathay Pacific will add a second destination in Italy to its route network in June when it commences seasonal nonstop flights to Rome from its Hong Kong hub. Read More » The oneworld alliance member has scheduled three flights a week to Rome with three-class A350-900 aircraft featuring business, premium economy and economy cabins. Rome, which will join Milan in Cathay's Italy network, is expected to be served during the northern hemisphere summer months. “Cathay Pacific’s history in Italy stretches back close to 40 years when we first launched direct flights between Hong Kong and Rome in 1986," Cathay chief customer and commercial officer, Lavinia Lau, said. "We know our customers have been eagerly anticipating the return of this route, and we are delighted to be returning to Italy’s marvellous capital this summer." There are currently no nonstop flights between Rome and Hong Kong.
