ANA parent increases earnings guidance despite 10% profit decline in fiscal nine months

ANA HOLDINGS INC. (ANA HD) booked a net profit of 134 billion yen (US$867 million) from April to December last year, down 10% from a 148.9 billion yen profit in the same months in 2023. Read More » Revenue increased 10.3% to 1.7 trillion yen, the parent company of AirJapan, All Nippon Airways and Peach said in a regulatory filing. ANA HD added it had revised upwards its net profit forecast for fiscal 2025 to 140 billion yen from 120 billion yen previously. The company delivered net profits of 157 billion yen in fiscal 2024. ANA HD’s focus for the new financial year is to continue to "capture demand and maximize profitability" across the airline group while managing a "tight operating fleet" caused by delivery delays of new aircraft and increases in engine maintenance. "Implementing our strategy contributed to the positive financial performance this quarter, driven by several factors that give ANA HD the confidence to revise and increase our full-year forecast," ANA HD executive vice president and group chief financial officer, Kimihiro Nakahori, said.
