Japan Airlines and ZIPAIR suffer from Boeing aircraft delivery delays

Japan Airlines (JAL) deliveries of its ordered 737 MAX 8s, scheduled to begin in fiscal year 2026, will be delayed by six months, said JAL executive vice president, Saito Yuji. Read More » JAL also has had to change the delivery schedule for two 787-8 jets it ordered for its LCC subsidiary, ZIPAIR. Acceptance of the jets, which were scheduled for delivery in fiscal year 2025, has been pushed back to interim 2026. The day before JAL’s announcement, All Nippon Airways announced it had its revised dates for delivery of 11 new Boeing jets from fiscal 2025-2026 to the following year.
