Air New Zealand rejoins region’s industry lobby group

Air New Zealand (Air NZ) has returned to the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) after a near 15-year absence. Read More » “Aviation is a complex and evolving industry with airlines around the world having to navigate similar challenges and opportunities in coming decades,” Air NZ CEO, Greg Foran, said. “Joining the AAPA will ensure we can share learnings with our regional counterparts to secure a thriving Asia-Pacific aviation industry into the future.” Air NZ is the fifth airline to join the AAPA post-pandemic after Air India (2022), Vietnam Airlines (2023), Lion Air (2024) and Qantas Airways in January this year. The association has 18 airline members. “Air New Zealand’s important role in connecting New Zealand to the world and its strong international outlook will reinforce the collective advocacy of airlines in the Asia-Pacific in areas such as sustainability, supply chain recovery and smooth cross border travel,” AAPA director general, Subhas Menon, said.
