Skymark Airlines profits shrink 25.8%; fiscal year guidance halved

Read More » Operating revenue was higher by 4.5%, at 81.7 billion yen, Skymark said. “Passenger demand remained robust, mainly from solid domestic traffic and continued inbound growth despite the soaring cost of travel,” Skymark said. The airline has trimmed its full-year profit as a result of intense competition and rising costs. It now forecasts a fiscal year profit of 1.5 billion yen, a 64.3% decline from its previous forecast of 4.2 billion yen for its year to March 31. The new profit guidance halves the airline’s net profit of 3 billion yen recorded in 2023-2024.
