Turkish Airlines intends to convert one stop Istanbul-Sydney via Kuala Lumpur to a nonstop rotation from next January 12, Sydney Airport has announced. Read More » The Star Alliance member, which commenced flying the route four times a week last November with A350-900, plans to progressively add frequency between Turkey and Australia throughout 2025. It will increase the route to five times weekly from mid-June then to six times a week from October 31 until the route transitions to daily at the start of next year. "The decision by Turkish Airlines to ramp up to a daily service so soon after launching to Sydney is a tremendous vote of confidence in the strength of the market,” Sydney Airport group executive for aviation growth and group strategy, Greg Botham, said.
