China Southern Airlines reports 12.3% increase in passengers carried last month

Passengers flown by China Southern Airlines (CSA) increased 14.8 million in January compared with the 13.2 million customers it carried in the same month last year. Read More » International passengers transported were up 46%, to 1.8 million, domestic operations recorded 8.9% passenger growth, to 12.9 million, and its regional network achieved a 0.1% increase in passengers to 152,950 in the month. Passenger load factor was 84.8%, up 3.7 percentage points from a year ago, and capacity expanded 12.5% year-on-year. CSA’s fleet increased by three aircraft to 920 in the month after three A320neo family aircraft and one 737 MAX 8 arrived at CSA and an A330-200 was withdrawn from service.
