Taiwan’s airlines ban power bank usage aboard their aircraft

It has been followed by China Airlines, Mandarin Airlines, UNI Air and Tigerair Taiwan mid this week. STARLUX Airlines passengers have been prohibited from using portable chargers on board from the launch of the airline in 2018. Passengers are being advised to charge their mobile devices before boarding or use the AC and USB charging outlets in their seats in flight. South Korea has banned power bank usage on all of the country’s airlines after a power bank aboard an Air Busan flight departing Gimhae Airport for Hong Kong on January 28, caught fire in LCC’s cabin. No one was injured in the incident, but the narrow-body was destroyed.
