Asiana Airlines repays final tranche of 3.8 trillion won loan

Asiana Airlines has fully repaid the 3.8 trillion won (US$2.6 billion) it borrowed from the Export-Import Bank of Korea, Key Industrial Stability Fund and Korea Development Bank in 2019 and 2020. The 1.38 trillion won outstanding on the loans was repaid with funds sourced from financial markets, Asiana revealed late last week. It also noted its healthier financial strength now it has merged with former rival, Korean Air.
