Korean Air to install premium economy cabin in several 777-300ERs

Korean Air (KAL) is introducing premium economy cabins in 11 of its 777-300ERs “in response to growing market demand”. Read More » The airline is removing first class from the wide-bodies to make space for the new cabin class. “The first retrofitted aircraft will enter service in the second half of 2025,” KAL said. “Fleet modifications will continue through 2026 to expand premium economy availability across more routes.” As part of its refresh of premium services, the SkyTeam alliance member will open two “prestige class garden lounges” at Seoul Incheon Terminal 2 and renovate its existing prestige class, million miler club and first class lounges by April 2026. “These enhancements will accommodate increased passenger traffic driven by the airport’s expansion and the relocation of Asiana Airlines to Terminal 2,” KAL said. “Once all upgrades are completed, Korean Air will operate six lounges at Seoul Incheon, expanding its overall lounge space by 2.5 times and doubling seating capacity.”
