AirAsia Malaysia expands Australia presence with new “Top End” route

Read More » The LCC plans to serve the route with a split schedule of two pre-dawn and two morning departures from Kuala Lumpur alongside two lunchtime and two late afternoon departures out of Darwin. AirAsia Malaysia will be the sole operator on the route. “We are thrilled to launch our very first flight to Darwin, creating greater opportunities for leisure and business travellers to explore one of Australia’s most vibrant and unique destinations,” AirAsia Malaysia CEO, Dato’ Captain Fareh Mazputra, said. “As adventure travel continues to grow in popularity, we see Darwin as a hidden gem for Malaysians and travellers across Southeast Asia offering a distinctive experience beyond the usual tourist hotspots.” AirAsia Indonesia, AirAsia Malaysia and AirAsia X serve four cities in Australia - Cairns, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney - from Denpasar or Kuala Lumpur.
