AirAsia plans to launch 30 routes by year-end

Read More » Its network optimization efforts, which include adding more flights on high demand routes and introducing new services, are expected to be finalized by June, the LCC group said. “As we return to full capacity in 2025, we will balance growth with profitability,” said AirAsia Aviation Group CEO, Bo Lingam. “Our network strategy will prioritize strategic, demand-driven connectivity across Asia.” Lingam highlighted the airline group’s goal of 10% of its passengers -approximately seven million travelers - flying on connecting itineraries through its Fly-Thru service. “Our major hubs in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok Don Mueang will remain central to Fly-Thru growth, currently handling 95% of Fly-Thru traffic,” he said. “In addition, we will expand other hubs and aim to add more than 1,700 weekly return flights and 323,336 weekly seats across the group by the end of 2025.”
