China Southern Airlines shrinks annual losses

China Southern Airlines (CSA) has reported a net loss of 1.8 billion yuan (US$244 million) for calendar 2024 compared with net losses of 4.1 billion yuan in 2023. Read More » Revenue rose 8.9% to 174.2 billion yuan, the company added in a regulatory filing. “In 2024, the scale of the transportation and production of China’s civil aviation industry continued to grow,” CSA said. “Looking to 2025, as global inflation continues to decline and the uncertainty in various countries’ economic policy rises, global economic growth will be unstable. In the face of more complex and severe domestic and international situations, the group will continue to enhance its core competitiveness.”
