China Southern Airlines sale of 10 787s on hold

China Southern Airlines (CSA) has paused plans to sell 10 787-8s until at least May 12, China’s largest airline company said in a regulatory filing. Read More » The aircraft, delivered to the group in 2013 and 2014, are powered by GE Aerospace GEnx engines. Plans to sell the wide-bodies were revealed last November. The sale delay follows an escalation in trade tensions between China and the U.S. Already, tariffs imposed by both countries on each other’s products have resulted in Boeing aircraft earmarked for several China airlines no longer being delivered.
