Batik Air Malaysia opens route to Timor-Leste

Batik Air Malaysia will start nonstop flights to Dili, the capital of Timor-Leste, on June 6. Read More » The Lion Air Group carrier has scheduled two 737 rotations a week between Kuala Lumpur and Dili. It will be the only airline serving the route. “We are thrilled to provide a seamless and comfortable travel experience, allowing more travellers to discover the rich heritage, stunning landscapes and warm hospitality of Timor-Leste,” Batik Air CEO, Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy, said. “This service provides Timorese with greater access to the region and beyond, especially given the limited carrier options now available.” Dili Airport is served by international flights to Darwin, Denpasar Bali, Singapore and Xiamen.
