“Overhanging supply crisis” constraining growth at region’s airlines

Read More » While demand for air travel and cargo transportation continues to increase, the regional airline association said an “overhanging supply crisis” due to pandemic-induced supply chain disruptions, the U.S. government’s tariffs and limited availability of sustainable aviation fuel are holding back expansion. “Air services are clearly in demand, but meeting that demand is more difficult because of factors beyond the control of airlines,” AAPA director-general, Subhas Menon, said. “Governments and suppliers must step up to tackle this disconnect.”
