AFI KLM E&M has extended its components maintenance contract with Cebu Pacific by a decade. It will cover comprehensive maintenance, logistics and MRO services for Cebu Pacific’s A320/A321 ceo and neo fleets as well as implementation of the Prognos predictive maintenance system.
Qatar Airways signed the largest Boeing wide-body order in the OEM’s life time earlier this week and also committed to the biggest twin aisle engine order in GE Aerospace’s history. The commitment is for up to 210 aircraft. GE Aerospace has been contracted to supply 400 GE9X and GEnx engines to the Doha-based global carrier to power the addition to the airline’s fleet.
Following the clashes between India and Pakistan, India has revoked the security clearance of Turkish firm, Çelebi Aviation, in interest of “national security”. Çelebi has a presence at nine airports in India: Mumbai, Delhi, Cochin, Kannur, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Goa, Ahmedabad and Chennai. A subsidiary, ground handler Çelebi Airport Services India, and Çelebi Delhi Cargo Terminal Management India, also are impacted by the security revocation.
SATS, a global provider of air cargo and ground handling services, will invest more than S$250 million in its Singapore Hub to upgrade its infrastructure at Changi Airport. In the next five years, SATS will spend $150 million to modernize its ground operations and cargo handling facilities and S$100 million to put in place digital directed cargo operations.
Thai Airways International has signed leases with BOC Aviation for five new A321neo.
