Garuda Indonesia narrows quarterly losses to US$76.5 million

Garuda Indonesia has reported a net loss of US$76.5 million for the three months to March 31 compared with US$87 million in net losses in the same months in 2024. Read More » Revenue was higher, at US$723.6 million, Garuda said in a regulatory filing. In a slide presentation accompanying its financial results, the flag carrier said cost per available seat kilometre was down 5.2% in the quarter, and the results were a “resilient performance”. The airline group said it “is executing its transformation roadmap of cost optimization, fleet efficiency improvements and service quality enhancement”. It added it is on track to have a fleet of 100 aircraft by year-end, ensuring it is “well-positioned to capture future growth”. At March 31, Garuda Indonesia had 58 aircraft and its LCC, Citilink, a fleet of 40 airliners.
