IndiGo to operate from outer Delhi’s Hindon Airport

IndiGo will commence flying from Hindon Airport in India’s national capital region next month with an initial network of eight domestic destinations. Read More » The LCC will be the fourth airline to fly from the airport. It is adjacent to an Indian Air Force Base and is 30 kilometres north east of Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport. Flights from Hindon to Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna and Varanasi are scheduled to start from July 20, the airline said. “Our expansion to Hindon is a strategic move offering an additional gateway for millions in the wider catchment area,” IndiGo head of global sales, Vinay Malhotra, said. “With more than 70 departures to eight key cities in India each week, our endeavour is to increase travel convenience, drive business mobility and foster economic growth.” At press time, Air India Express, FlyBig and Star Air were operating from the airport.
