Cambodia Airways has started flying to Malaysia’s Penang from Phnom Penh. Read More » The inaugural flight KR785, operated by A320 registration XU-762, landed at Penang around 1030 local time on June 26 after an 80-minute journey from the Cambodian capital. It was on the ground for 90 minutes before taking off as the reciprocal KR786 for Phnom Penh. Cambodia Airways has scheduled two flights a week to Penang, its second nonstop route to Malaysia alongside its three flights weekly service to Kuala Lumpur. It is the only airline flying nonstop on the route. “The launch of these flights marks a new chapter in our journey,” Cambodia Airways deputy director of the marketing committee, Li Lei, said. “It offers travellers a direct service instead of a layover at other transit points.”
