Air Lease delivered 12 and sold four aircraft in the three months to June 30. It also recognised net benefits in the quarter from settling claims with insurers after it could not repatriate its aircraft stranded in Russia after the invasion of Ukraine.

Air New Zealand has launched Dream Seats: free flights to help 100 New Zealanders achieve their goals and ambitions.

China Airlines (CAL) has signed a multi-year agreement with GE Aerospace for MRO on GE9X engines that will power the 14 777-9Xs it has ordered. In other CAL news, the airline will move from New York JFK Terminal 4 to Terminal 1 in 2026. The flag carrier also has announced passengers in all cabin classes of its fleet will now be offered free internet and messaging.

GE Aerospace has confirmed the U.S. government has removed a ban on the export of its engines to China, allowing the OEM to resume deliveries of its LEAP-1C and GE CF34 engines to the Mainland. The engines power C919 and C909 programs, respectively.

Korean Air (KAL) has opened a pop-up store at a shopping centre in Seoul offering people the opportunity to try the airline’s latest products, including the business class seats, and become familiar with the corporate identity it launched in March.

Perth Airport has selected Woods Bagot to lead a consortium of 24 companies, including Nordic Office of Architecture, Architectus and WSP, to design its new terminal project of domestic and international terminal facilities, aprons and taxiways.
