China Southern Airlines forecasts widened losses for interim 2025

China Southern Airlines (CSA) guidance said the airline will report net losses ranging from 1.338 billion yuan (US$187 million) to 1.756 billion yuan (US$245 million) for the six months to June 30. Read More » The forecast is a deterioration compared with the carrier’s net loss of 1.228 billion yuan in the same months a year ago. Factors contributing to the 2025 interim results were changes in the passenger structure, the impact of high-speed rail, an unstable and uncertain international environment, global supply chain disruptions and exchange rate movements, the airline said. "The company is still under great operating pressure," it added.
