Aero K Airlines to inaugurate Seoul-Hualien in November

Read More » The flights were made possible after the government of the Taiwan county and Aero K signed a Memorandum of Understanding in mid-May. Taiwan’s tourism authority said South Koreans visiting the country now exceed visitors from Japan and that Hualien travellers are very interested in visiting South Korea. Currently, the only overseas destination from Hualien is Hong Kong, a four times a week schedule flown by HK Express. Hualien and neighboring Taitung subsidized 43 international charter fights in the first seven months of this year, introducing more than 5,600 foreign visitors from Hong Kong, Vietnam and Thailand to eastern Taiwan and contributing NT$60 million (US$1.96 million) to the local economy, the tourism administration said.
