Qantas Airways is selling tickets for flights operated by the newest addition to its fleet, the A321XLR. Read More » Two delivered A321XLRs, registration VH-OGA and VH-OGB, will operate Sydney-Melbourne and Sydney-Perth from September 25. The inaugural service will be QF645 departing Sydney at 1035 local time and arriving in Perth at 1335. "These next generation aircraft mark an exciting new chapter for Qantas," Qantas domestic CEO, Markus Svensson, said. "The extended flight range will enable us to operate these aircraft on domestic and short-haul international routes, including destinations across Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, now not viable with our current narrow body fleet." Qantas has ordered 48 of the long-range narrow-bodies with a third of the type to soon start scheduled services. Seven more of the jets are planning to be flying with the carrier next year.
