Philippine Airlines accepts first refurbished A321ceo back into fleet

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has announced a PAL A321ceo, registration RP-C9905, has returned from the workshop fitted with updated interiors and new business and economy seats. Read More » The refurbishing of 18 of the narrow-bodies is being undertaken by Lufthansa Technik Philippines. The economy class seats from Collins were manufactured in the Philippines. The two-year project is scheduled for completion in 2027. The PAL A321ceo have 12 business and 182 economy seats. The reconfigured aircraft are planned to serve the key Asian destinations of Bali, Guam, Jakarta, Osaka and Tokyo this year, PAL said. Routes will be added to the type’s flying schedule in 2026 as more retrofitted aircraft return from the workshop. "This cabin retrofit program reflects PAL’s vision of world-class excellence and heartfelt care," PAL vice president for marketing, Alvin Miranda, said. "At the core of this undertaking is the dedicated craftsmanship showcased by Filipino workers in manufacturing the aircraft seats and the reconfiguration of the cabins in the Philippines."
