Read More » The airline commenced flying to Seattle in October 2022 with 787-9 aircraft. The route was then extended to Paris Charles de Gaulle in June 2023. In January this year, the Charles de Gaulle leg was dropped. Passengers booked to travel on the Papeete-Seattle route after January 26 will be offered an alternative itinerary via Los Angeles at no additional cost, or a full refund. "The airline acknowledges the impact of this decision on the travel plans of customers holding reservations on flights scheduled to operate beyond January 31, 2026, and wishes to thank them for their understanding and loyalty," Air Tahiti Nui said. A study conducted on the airline’s route network found its only profitable route was Papeete-Los Angeles, while flights to Paris and Auckland were considered breakeven, local media reported, citing commentary within the study.
