Read More » The Lion Air Group will start flights from its Subang hub to Jakarta, Johor Bahru, Langkawi and Singapore, from Penang to Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Medan and Singapore, and from Ipoh to Singapore. All routes were scheduled to commence on December 8. Batik Air Malaysia said the new routes reflected the airline’s strategy, which was focused on connecting secondary cities, strengthening its presence in ASEAN and establishing travel corridors which promoted tourism, trade, and economic development. "These new routes are not just about expanding our network - they signal our direction as a carrier," Batik Air CEO, Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy, said. "By investing in Subang and Penang as hubs and leveraging Singapore as an important source of inbound tourists, we are also supporting preparations for Visit Malaysia 2026, ensuring more travellers can experience Malaysia with greater ease."
