Asia-Pacific international passengers flown increase 8.8% in August

Read More » For first eight months of 2025, the region’s airlines carried 10.8% more passengers year-on-year, at 258 million air travellers, the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) said. The sustained passenger traffic was the result of strong business and leisure travel across the region and globally. "Both passenger and cargo markets have continued to demonstrate resilience in the face of global challenges, including protectionist trade measures and ongoing supply chain constraints," AAPA director general, Subhas Menon, said. "The region’s carriers continue to be cautiously optimistic with travel demand to stay resilient underpinned by continued expansion in global economic activity, particularly in Asia." The AAPA figures represent traffic data from 37 Asia-Pacific airlines.
