Turkish Airlines boosts codeshare options to Asia-Pacific with Hong Kong Airlines

Turkish Airlines has expanded its codeshare agreement with Hong Kong Airlines to include destinations in Australia, Japan and Thailand. Read More » The Türkiye flag carrier has added its TK airline code on Hong Kong Airlines-operated flights from Hong Kong to Bangkok in Thailand, Osaka and Tokyo in Japan and Sydney (and Melbourne from next month) in Australia. "We are pleased to strengthen our partnership with Hong Kong Airlines, building on Hong Kong’s role as a key gateway in Asia and offering travellers even greater convenience and choice across our networks," Turkish Airlines CEO, Bilal Ekşi, said. Turkish Airlines already codeshares with All Nippon Airways, Asiana Airlines, Etihad Airways, Garuda Indonesia, Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines on select routes between Asia and Australia. It also serves Sydney via Kuala Lumpur and Melbourne via Singapore from its Istanbul hub with its own aircraft. Hong Kong Airlines codeshares on Turkish Airlines-operated flights between Hong Kong and Istanbul. "The codeshare partnership not only deepens our business relationship but also enhances the overall travel experience for our customers," Hong Kong Airlines executive vice president, Louis Li, said.
