Virgin Australia (VA) has appointed Andrew Cleary as its new chief customer officer and CEO of the airline’s Velocity frequent flyer program. Read More » Cleary, who previously worked in executive roles at Hong Kong-headquartered Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and Qantas Airways, as well as a journalist with the Australian Financial Review newspaper and Bloomberg news agency, replaces Nick Rohrlach as Velocity CEO. He commences on March 23.
VA also announced in a regulatory filing chief strategy and transformation officer, Alistair Hartley, will leave the company on April 30, with the strategy and transformation team to report directly to CEO Dave Emerson.
