Air Tahiti Nui announces flights to Sydney, launched in December

The carrier expects that the newly announced service will help the tourism growth in French Polynesia. In 2025, the Archipelago welcomed nearly 279,000 visitors, setting a new tourism record and continuing the positive momentum of recent years. 8,165 of them were from Australia. “Beyond passenger travel, the launch of the Papeete–Sydney service also creates new opportunities for freight transport, supporting the development of economic exchanges between Australia and French Polynesia,” the carrier said.
