Malaysia Airlines has taken delivery of its 16th 737 MAX 8 aircraft, with a further two of the type to join the fleet before the end of May. Read More » The Boeing narrowbody, registration 9M-MVQ, touched down at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Monday (May 18) following its three-day ferry flight from Boeing Field in Washington State in the U.S. via Honolulu and Guam. "Another exciting milestone in our ongoing fleet expansion journey, this latest arrival reflects our continued commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and delivering a smoother travel experience for our passengers," Malaysia Airlines said in a post on social media. "This month we look forward to welcoming another two new B737-8 to the family as we want to give you an even more comfortable experience, exciting new cabins and the warmth of Malaysian Hospitality on your journey to your destination." The oneworld alliance member’s 737 MAX 8s have been configured with 12 business and 162 economy seats for a total of 174.
