Star Alliance to open lounge at Seoul Incheon

Read More » The new lounge at Incheon will ensure eligible Star Alliance passengers continued to have access to a lounge facility after Asiana Airlines formally withdrew from the alliance in December. "Incheon International Airport is an important gateway for Star Alliance," Star Alliance vice president for customer experience, Ambar Franco, said. "We are proud to establish a Star Alliance lounge at one of the world’s leading airports, and look forward to welcoming our member airline customers at the airport." IIAC chief operation officer, Kim Chang-gyu, said: "This agreement is part of our efforts to provide stable and high-quality services to passengers using Incheon Airport amid major changes, including the integration of Asiana Airlines and Korean Air." There are 14 Star Alliance member airlines flying into and out of Seoul Incheon. Incheon will be the airline marketing alliance’s seventh Star Alliance-branded lounge alongside existing facilities at Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, Guangzhou, Los Angeles, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Rio de Janeiro.
