Airbus appoints new CIO

Hennekens, former Qantas Airways CIO, will replace Guus Dekkers, from October 1. Dekkers has decided to leave the company to pursue other opportunities outside Airbus Group.
Hennekens will report to Marc Fontaine – Group Digital Transformation Officer – for Airbus Group matters and to Tom Williams – Chief Operations Officer Airbus – for Airbus matters.
The CIO is not only responsible for the company’s IT systems in the offices and shop-floors. The position’s scope includes digital solutions for the company’s products, information and communication systems for employees, partners, airlines and MROs, protection against cyber-attacks or the implementation of new, digital tools for the entire product lifecycle.
China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (CALC) has announced the appointment of Russell Hubbard as senior vice-president for sales and marketing from September 5. Hubbard will be based out of CALC’s Dublin office.
Hubbard has three decades of experience and demonstrated success in aircraft remarketing, trading and acquisitions. He also has extensive experience in aircraft value appraisals. Russ joins CALC from Avation, where he was global head of aircraft trading. Prior to this, he led the global trading team of Hong Kong Aviation Capital and was head of operations and chief commercial officer of Global Aviation Asset Management.
